DKI temporarily closed Ragunan and RTH for Christmas and New Year

The DKI Jakarta City Park and Forest Service has circulated a letter of temporary closure of services for a number of tourist attractions and green open spaces (RTH). In a circular, the Head of the City Park and Forest Service, Suzi Marsitawati, announced that the closure applies to Ragunan Wildlife Park, Taman RTH, City Forest RTH, and Nursery Gardens.

"Conduct temporary closure of services for Ragunan Wildlife Park, Park RTH, City Forest RTH, and Nursery for the community on December 25, 2020, December 31, 2020, and January 1, 2021," reads Circular Number 38 / SE / 2020.

According to Suzi, the maintenance and security of Ragunan and RTH will continue during the closure. The agency will also carry out procedures for using RTH.

"As stated in the Decree of the Head of the City Parks and Forests Service Number 325 of 2020 concerning Reuse of RTH in the Transitional Period of PSBB towards a Healthy, Safe, and Productive Society."

Suzi signed this circular on December 21, 2020. The closure was carried out in order to follow up the DKI Governor's Instruction Number 64 of 2020 and the Appeal of the Governor of DKI Number 17 of 2020.

The appeal regulates the matter of controlling community activities in the prevention of Covid-19 during the Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021 holidays. Meanwhile Ingub 64/2020 is concerned with implementing its control.
